80.***.***.***PHP-based browser games -- show case
With this thread I'd like to gradually build a link index of quality browser games made with server side scripting languages, so people can see what's out there and what's possible - and hopefully be able to find some inspiration and motivation as well.If you would like to make an addition to the list, please reply with URL, name, and a short description of the game in question. Also feel free to play with the descriptions if you feel they can be improved.
http://www.merchantempires.com/ - Turn-based sci-fi game in which you trade resources for profits, upgrade your arsenal of weaponry, and battle other players and their factions. Features science research, player raids, an expansive and ever changing universe to explore, base construction, and more. Based on the classic Tradewars BBS game.
http://lotgd.net/ - Role-playing game in a medieval/fantasy setting, based on the classic Lord of the Red Dragon. Fairly expansive game features and fan base. Open Source! <http://www.dragonprime.net/>
http://www.bnw.ro/ - Empire building game in a fantasy setting, featuring spies, production, alliances and so forth.
http://www.americanwarlords.com/ - Post-apocalyptic/contemporary game where you take the role of a warlord. You are given control of one real American city and may duke it out with other players to become wealthier and more powerful.
http://www.kingdomofloathing.com/ - The Kingdom of Loathing is a humorous approach to turn-based multiplayer action, featuring such classes as "The Seal Clubber" and "The Accordion Thief" among others (six in total). All art is hand drawn sketch in the stick figure style, and the official currency of the game is pieces of meat. An Adventurer is You!
